As a non-profit STEAM community center focusing on engaging Flagstaff and northern Arizona youth and families in STEAM learning activities and challenges, we welcome the community support provided by our dedicated volunteers.

FALA's National Honor Society is holding a donation drive, this Thursday at FALA from 1-4pm, to gather supplies for those in need in town and on the reservation. In exchange for a donation, you can also get a free piece of art in return! Needed items include hand sanitizer, canned and non-perishable goods, and tents. Fall is the perfect time to plant! Join us for another FALA Campus Beautification Event and help with planting many donated native plants. Botanist, Christi Sorrell, will be helping us put the plants in the best spots to ensure their survival and appeal. We will also be putting weed blankets and mulch around some of the pruned trees. This continues our work on FALA's landscaping plan that has been formulated utilizing community input from several botanists.

....and (of course) bring gloves, hats, sunscreen, and water bottles.
Parents, come to meet other FALA families who are interested in supporting the FALA community. Students, this is a great way to earn service hours and show your school spirit!

FALA High School Students who are artsy/craftsy are invited to participate in a special service project for the Children's Health Center (CHC) at Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC). We are assisting in creating an Coco themed installation for the children on Halloween. These kiddos can not go out and trick or treat on Halloween in their neighborhood due to their illness. So the team at CHC want to create the most special Halloween at the hospital for them.
You can make decorations every or any Tuesday/Thursday 3:15-5:00pm in art room #5.We will start on Thursday, September 27th and end on October 30th. Students will get service hours.
