FIS will demonstrate a commitment to designing a more flexible instructional program that makes better use of space, time and personnel in order to expand the pathways for each individual to realize his/her potential and goals.
Collaboratively develop a curriculum which:
● provides a continuum of age-appropriate and demonstrable learning goals with strong vertical alignment;
● reflects the ATLs;
● facilitates more student self-directed inquiry, student choice and personal exploration;
● provides authentic and transdisciplinary learning opportunities;
● promotes equal access for all learners.
To achieve the above:
● reduce curriculum content;
● review the scheduling of classes and cohorts to accommodate longer project-based and experiential learning;
● facilitate more teacher collaboration;
● consider blended and online learning options.
