My practice is rooted in autobiography, using my lived experience as both process and concept. Time spent in Italy forms a central thread within my work as an embodied environment and culture that shaped my perception, memory, and identity. I am interested in how a place imprints itself onto the body - through colour, architecture, ritual, language, and rhythm.
As a multidisciplinary artist, I combine fine art, photography and textiles to explore rhythm, structure, and variation in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work. By layering techniques of sculpture, printmaking, collage and drawing, I balance control and unpredictability, reflecting themes of time. My process starts with structured frameworks, which I disrupt through intuition and unpredictability. Colour and textures shape the emotional and conceptual focus of my work, encouraging the viewer to engage with the material experimentation. My work echoes layering, interruption, and repetition to mimic the way memory unfolds. Through autobiographical reference, I attempt to make visible the quiet accumulation of moments that shape who we become.
