Last month I helped my dad build a bookshelf.  At my house, before lunch, I was handing the tools to my dad.  I handed him the wrench, hammer, pegs and the screwdriver. We built the bookshelf to put decorations on each layer. I am glad I could help my dad.

Madison Doherty - 

At the start of this school year I helped a young boy.  A little boy was struggling to get his napping mat up the stairs.  So, I offered to carry his mat up the stairs.  Then, he got up the stairs and went to his classroom.  I am glad I could help him. 

Bryn Downs - 

This morning I helped my teacher Ms. Frank.  The Learning Cove was messy.  That’s where we hang out before school starts.  There were green chairs everywhere!  I helped her put the chairs away in a stack.  I’m glad I could help her.

Liam Firgens - 

A couple months ago I helped my dad feed my three dogs.  First, I was home playing with my dogs outside.  Then, the dogs got hungry.  Next, they had to go into my house.  I put the bowls out from the pantry with their food.  I was glad I had time to feed my dogs.

Beckett Hosmanek - 

A couple of weeks ago I helped my brother Boston.  My brother and I were playing in the backyard and Boston tripped and fell.  I ran inside and told my mom and my mom went into the cabinet and got him a blue band-aid.  I am very happy I helped.

Two days ago my dad helped make me breakfast.  I had been up for two hours.  My dad asked if I wanted something to eat and I said, “Yes!”.  He asked what I wanted to eat and I said, “eggs and toast.” He put the toast in the toaster and cracked the eggs in the pan.  I really liked the eggs and toast.

Last year my family helped me celebrate Christmas.  My aunts and uncles and grandmas let me come to celebrate Christmas and open gifts and presents.  We ate dinner.  It was bread, steak, turkey and corn. They made me feel special.

Ella Kuhlenbeck - 

A few days ago I helped my mom.  I saw that the ground had a lot of hair from my dogs so I helped my mom vacuum.  Once I finished, the floor looked a lot better.  My mom was proud.  I am glad I helped.

Hank Matter - 

A few days ago my mom fed the cows for me.  I was reading my books for a reading challenge.  My mom helped me by feeding my cows outside.  My mom was very kind.  I am very glad that my mom could help me. 

Isabel Metzig - 

This week I helped my mom by making my siblings’ beds.  When everybody left to play outside then me and my mom went upstairs and got to work.  I wanted to rearrange my room so we did.  It was good, so we went to Addison’s room.  Mom put the blankets on and I put the pillows on.  We were all done with Addison’s room so we went on to Quintin and Thomas’ room.  They share a room.  Mom put on the blankets and pillows on Quintin’s bed.  Then we did Thomas’s bed.  Mom put on the blankets and pillows.  I put on the stuffy.  I was glad I could help.

Last year I helped my brother clean up his toys.  We were playing a card game.  When my brother went to pick up a card the cards fell off the table.  I helped him pick them up.  I hope the cards don’t fall again!

Last year I helped my dad with the chickens and the coop outside.  First, we put the pieces of wood in place.  Then, we drilled nails in.  Next, we put concrete on the wood.  We put a run on it with metal sticks.  Next, we put a round bucket by their toys.  Finally, dad put a water bucket by the food.  I am glad I helped dad.

Isaac Reed - 

Last Christmas I helped my dad set up an air hockey table in the basement.  I got an air hockey table from Santa.  My dad asked me to help him construct it.  We opened the box and followed the instructions. I am glad I could help him. 

Everett Thimm - 

A week ago I helped my dad to mow the lawn.  My dad said to go get a bag for the grass.  I got a bag from the pantry and I put it on the grass outside.  Then he said to go ride my bike outside.  I am glad I could help him.

About a week ago I helped my sister with an imaginary game.  The day before that my sister asked me to help with a game the next day.  I said, “yes” and I helped her with planning out the game.  I was the sister in the game and was mean but turned good.  I love helping!
