I love to travel and explore new places and cultures. Maybe this is a result of my military upbringing, never staying in one place for long and always having the opportunity to experience new things! My love of science led me to get a Master's Degree in Biology from Arizona State University. I then found my niche as an Environmental Chemist which I pursued for most of my adult life. I love teaching Middle School kids and sharing my love of Science and Math with my students. Middle School is a perfect time to further develop the ability to think logically, use reasoning skills to solve problems and continue a love of learning through genuine curiosity. It is a privilege for me to support our student's growth in these areas.
My husband Tom ,who shares my love of Science. He is an Oregon native and University of Oregon Grad. He currently works at Cleanwater Services as a laboratory specialist. His current passion is baking sourdough bread.
Two of my favorite people in the world are my kids, Max and Kim. Both of them came up through FGCS, and we all enjoyed our time here as a family. Max is currently studying at PCC and Kim is a Junior at Whitman College in Washington State.
This is our fur baby, Nessie. She keeps us on our toes with her true Terrier (or as we say "Terror-ior") personality.
We recently adopted two rescue cats named Daisy and Lily. This one is lily. They are so much fun and keep Nessie on her toes.
