During this year of science we are studying physical science. We will focus on the topics of Matter, Waves, Forces and Motion, and some review of the processes of rock formation within the rock cycle. Students will work in Interactive Notebooks as they read and discuss content from our textbooks. Multiple investigations, or informal labs, are embedded in each of these chapters.  The investigations engage the students and ask them to discuss what they are learning and understanding, as well as focus them on the connections within and across chapters.  

In addition to our regular work in our notebooks, we will have hands-on lab work in the classroom and the field as well.
