Literature, Writing, Speaking, and Listening
At Level 4, students will learn to read complex text, interpret author meaning, and respond to that text in writing.
Writing happens in many stages, from short journal responses to long research papers. We practice many types of writing and learn the structure and uses of essay writing. These tools will serve them well in high school.
Speaking and listening happens often in our classroom, both formally and informally. Students learn how to interpret spoken word from authors and from their peers. Additionally, students will present information through discussion and presentations in front of the class.
