Flowers - Watercolor

When I was younger, I took a “class” on Chinese art and culture. For my final, I choose to do peonies because I have seen it used a lot in movies. They are considered the “king of all flowers” and symbolize beauty, wealth, power, courage, and honor. I’m taking Mandarin right now and thought it would be fun to incorporate another class into art. Lunar New Year is coming up so I wrote a wish in Chinese. I hope it says, “When the spring comes and the flowers bloom, blessings will follow.” Also, the square in red is my last name. I copied the style of what a chop should look like using just my last name, rather than my full name and all the extra information that is usually on these seals.
