Is Virtual School Right for Me?

Before applying for the FCPS Virtual Academy, it is important to think about whether the Virtual Academy is the right fit for you and your family.  Answering the questions below will help you make that determination. 

Am I self-motivated, and do I have good time management skills?

In a virtual classroom, you may never meet your teacher in person.  You will need to set a timeline to do your work and complete the work according to a schedule that meets teacher guidelines.  You will be motivating yourself to complete the requirements. 

What is Virtual Academy?

Virtual Academy 2024-2025 Requirements:

• Solid & Stable Internet

• Full Year Commitment (HS per term commitment)

• If student is transferred or unenrolled, families may be responsible for reimbursement of classes

• Agree to Virtual Academy set up (What is Virtual Academy?)

• Must use FCPS school issued device

• Must be able to meet Engagement Criteria

• Participation in County & State Wide Assessments is still expected
