Every student will follow the Virtual Virginia daily schedule
Every student will follow the Virtual Virginia calendar for the 2025-2026 School
We will not follow the FCPS calendar 2025-2026
We will not follow any FCPS calendar/schedule changes (this includes snow days, delays, early releases, etc…)
Daily Schedules
Schedules are listed on Infinite Campus Parent Portal and are available via the schedule tab. **These times DO NOT reflect the correct LIVE Class times**
Virtual Virginia Pages will have more specific details on your LIVE Class Log in times.
As parents you should have received an email from Virtual Virginia subject titled, “Virtual Virginia Account Created”. This email provides the login information for the parent account. After you log into to access the Virtual Virginia system at virtualvirginia.org. (Click Login to access the login page.)
After logging in, click on Course Information to view correct LIVE Class times. (ES will have their schedules sent out by their teachers and posted onto their Canvas Page).
Students can access Virtual Virginia courses by following these steps:
Click the Login button at the top right.
Under "Choose your program," click the dropdown menu and select "Virtual Virginia Program (K–12)." Click Login.
On the Dashboard that appears, you will be able to navigate to your Virtual Virginia course(s) in the Canvas learning management system.
Attendance:
Virtual Virginia would like you to send any attendance updates directly to the teachers. Please CC virtualacademy@fcps1.org to those emails.
Mr. Snell will be putting in attendance into Infinite Campus on Mondays for the previous week (example: For the week of 8/14-8/15, all the attendance was entered into Infinite Campus on 8/18)
You will be able to log onto the Infinite Campus Parent Portal (https://fcps1.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/fauquier.jsp) to get the specific attendance class details.
Virtual Virginia will send out critical alert emails to student/parent/Mr. Snell, if you have no activity for 4 days in a row.
Virtual Academy Illness Protocol:
Since the Virtual Academy is virtual we not do have protocols outside of the normal too sick to do school.
If students are able to get on and do work, they can. If they are not feeling up to it, please send any attendance updates directly to the teachers. Please CC virtualacademy@fcps1.org to those emails and we will mark it accordingly.
Grades:
HS/MS/ES Report Cards are available via your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please use the Report Card/Grades tab. https://fcps1.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/fauquier.jsp
MS Interim Grades are available via your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

County & State-Wide Assessments
**Virtual Academy students need to participate in the County & State Wide Assessments. If you want more information on what "participate" means, please contact virtualacademy@fcps1.org.**
Base Schools are starting to reach out to students/parents via emails and/or phone calls concerning upcoming County & State Wide Assessments. Please make sure you have reviewed the

Engagement Criteria:
Please make sure you are following and meeting the 4 areas.
Failure to meet the Engagement Criteria will result in a Warning Period and potential return to base school for in person learning.
Attendance (Live and/or recorded)
Participating (asking and answering questions along with furthering class time discussions and/or activities)
Work Completion (completing activities and assignments in a timely manner)
Progression/Mastery (showing growth or full understanding of topics and/or skills)
Critical Alert Emails:
Virtual Virginia will be sending out their Critical Alert emails on Mondays/Wednesdays. They will be sending them out for:
No activity for 4 days
Overall grade is lower than 70%
Overall grade is lower than 50%
**These emails are being sent to the students/parents, teacher, and Mr. Snell**
If you receive one of these emails please make sure you address it and fix the situation. If these emails are predictable and common (2 or more weeks in a row), you will be receiving a follow up from Mr. Snell and you may be put into our Warning Period which may result in you being returned to In-Person learning at your Base School.
Students, you need to make sure you are completing your work on time and responding properly to any teacher emails and/or phone calls to show you are engaging in your classwork.
If students/parents get an email/call from a teacher concerning missing work and/or inactivity, please respond in a timely manner to the email/call. If you notice that Mr. Snell is not being included as a CC on that email, please forward the email to him too.
Base School Emails & Extracurricular Activities:
You should still receive emails from your base schools.
These emails should give you general base school updates along with extracurricular activity information.
If you are interested in attending a base school activity, please contact the base school and RSVP that you are coming to that event.
If you are not getting emails, please let us know ASAP so we can get this fixed.
Cameras:
Cameras being on during class has been the Virtual Academy expectation. We want to make sure students have cameras on and are in the camera frame.
This allows our teachers to engage with you more.
This creates a community within our classes and reminds students they are not the only ones in the classes.
If students have issues with cameras on, they may adjust their layout via the ... section next to the hang up button. You can adjust how you see the class along with the number of other students you see.

While in the Virtual Academy, students are still under and must follow the FCPS:
