Parents can connect to their children's Schoology account through a 12-digit Parent Access Code that is uniquely assigned to each student. Once a parent connects to their child in Schoology, they have access to view everything their child can see in all of their classes and groups in Schoology for as long as their child is in FCPS.
Schoology Parent Access Codes are sent to parents of new enrollments and current FCPS students with no parent connection in Schoology via email at the beginning of the school and then again prior to interims for Term 1. Front office and registrars can print the Parent Access Letter via Report Net > Gradebook folder. Note: Student usernames and passwords are not on the letters.
Note: Any requests to adjust parent/guardian access in Schoology must sent to schoology.help@fcps.org by the counselor or administrator.

Parents access Schoology at https://www.schoology.com. This is a different address than teachers and students use.
The first time parents go to this address, they will select Sign Up > Parent > Enter Access Code, and use the FCPS-provided Parent Access Code for one of their children. After setting up their account, they can click on their name in the top-right corner of Schoology, select Add Child to add the rest of their children to their account.
Parents can (and should) install the Schoology mobile app from the Google Play Store, from Apple's App Store, or from the Amazon Appstore for easy access to Schoology. Note: Not all materials are available via the app. We recommend a web browser experience for FCPS students.
The language of the Schoology platform can be toggled into Spanish by clicking "English" in the bottom-left corner of Schoology and selecting "Spanish".

FCPS employees with children in FCPS must follow the directions in the Parent Guide and use a personal email address at www.schoology.com to set up a parent account. They can then use these Linking Account Instructions to connect their parent account to their FCPS teacher account so they can easily toggle between the two on a web browser.
Important Note: The app does not currently allow for toggling between personal and professional accounts. As a workaround, you can use a mobile web browser (for example, Safari on your Apple device or Chrome on your android device) to access Schoology on your mobile device.
