Course Description
This course is an intensive study of the theory, operation, maintenance, and repair of two- and four-cycle small and multi-cylinder engines. Students work on engines, applying academic skills to real practice. Other skills such as welding, tool fitting, and customer relations are part of this course. This course satisfies one of three credits for the Agriculture Mechanics Completer Program.
Student Course Objectives Overview:
Develop and apply the technical and related academic skills necessary to gain successful employment in the Power Mechanic Industry.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate, solve problems, work independently and in teams, and apply technical knowledge effectively.
Develop work habits and leadership skills, which will foster productivity and career advancement.
Utilize laboratory projects and/or activities to apply related knowledge and skills.
Acquire an awareness of the latest changes in technology, which will affect the methods of application now and in the future.

EETC Resources- NEW! The CTE Team purchased each Ag Mechanic school/teacher a membership to the EETC platform to gain additional resources to support you and your students with the EETC exam. Each person must create an account- Please read the message below and username/password details.

2. Click “Register” at the top right of the screen
3. Scroll down and select “High School Membership”
4. Go through the steps of creating your account
When it gets to the payment screen, please select “Bill Me”. Once I get notified that your account has been set up, I will go in and delete the invoice that was automatically created, apply the one that has been paid, and then make sure your expiration date reflects July 24, 2028.
