What is the FAFSA?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the application students complete to be considered for federal financial aid for college, university, community college, and many career or technical programs.
Completing the FAFSA can help students qualify for:
Grants, including the Federal Pell Grant
Federal student loans
Federal Work-Study
Kentucky financial aid programs
Financial aid offered directly by colleges and universities
The FAFSA is free to complete. Students should never pay a website or company to submit the FAFSA for them.
Don’t wait until you know where you’re going!
You can submit the FAFSA before making your final college decision. Include the colleges you’re considering so they can receive your FAFSA information. You can add or remove schools later.
