Program Overview
Digital Scholars supports students’ academic and workforce readiness by fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and responsible digital citizenship. The program prepares students for future pathways in STEM and technology-adjacent fields while building confidence and professional skills.
Eligibility
Grades: High School (9–12)
Enrollment: FCPS or equivalent alternative education programs
Experience Level: No prior coding or technical experience required
Program Focus Areas
Students gain hands-on experience in:
Coding and computational thinking
Engineering and STEM exploration
Digital literacy and online professionalism
Creative problem-solving and collaboration
Program Outcomes
Students who complete Digital Scholars will:
Build foundational STEM and digital workforce skills
Strengthen confidence, communication, and teamwork
Develop a positive digital identity and professional mindset
Earn certificates of participation and skill recognition
Gain exposure to postsecondary and career pathways
