Exams will be administered at several locations due to the size and timing of our exams. Exams will be at:
Central Bank Center - 430 West Vine Street (next to Rupp Arena)
University of Kentucky Don and Cathy Jacobs Science Building - 305 Huguelet Drive
Lafayette High School - 401 Reed Lane
See the exam schedule for specific location and report time for each AP exam. Exams given at UK and Central Bank Center will be given with other high schools in the district. Be sure to check your email from Total Registration the week prior to testing for arrival times and your seating location within the larger testing room.
Students with approved testing accommodations from the College Board will test at Lafayette High School.
Transportation to and from exams will be YOUR responsibility. Arrival times will be strictly adhered to, so please make all necessary arrangements to arrive on time for each exam. Exam ending times have been given to assist in making transportation arrangements, however times are approximate and are the earliest dismissal time possible. Using the regular school bus transportation system will not be possible due to the testing times set by the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Testing Program. In addition, their policy states, “no student will be admitted to a testing room late.”
For exams at Central Bank Center (CBC), located at 430 W. Vine St, next to Rupp Arena, a drop off point is available on W. Vine/Main Street in front of CBC (Images 1 & 2 below).
Parking at CBC is available in the High Street lot, gates 1 & 2, for students (Image 3 below). Gate 2 is closest to the CBC entrance off High St. The cost is $6 for the first two hours and $2 for each additional hour up to $12 per day. The parking lot ONLY takes cards. There is no person working on site to accept cash. If you need financial assistance for parking, please contact an AP Coordinator ASAP. Contact information is at the bottom of the web site.
Additional parking, where students can pay cash, is available at the Victorian Square Parking Garage, located at 350 W. Short St, 40507. Parking rates are $1 for each half hour, $10 max per day. There is a short walk from the Victorian Square Parking Garage to the entrance of CBC on W. Vine St. If you plan to park here, remember to allocate walking time to your drive time (Image 4 below).
For student pickup, parents may pay to wait in the High Street parking lot or circle until a spot is open in the drop off/pick up lane on Main St. DO NOT block traffic on Main Street trying to pick up your student. On many test days, over 200 students will be dismissed at the same time.
For exams at UK's Don and Cathy Jacobs Science Building, located at 305 Huguelet Dr., students should be dropped off and picked up in the round about on Hilltop Drive by Haggin Hall. See Image 5 below. Image 6 shows the road map for drop off. The pink X is the Jacobs Science Building. Do NOT park in the garage with the yellow X. This is assigned parking for UK staff. There is paid parking in the lot circled in orange, but it is limited and expensive. We do not have a way to assist with payments for this lot.

Image 3: Parking lot - Gate 2 entrance - next to Central Bank Center. The lot only takes CARDS as payment and will be $12 per day.
Image 4: Parking garage by Victorian Square that takes both cash and cards. Factor in walking time if you are parking here to make sure you arrive to Central Bank Center on time.
Image 5: Drop off in the circled round-about on Hilltop Dr and then follow the sidewalk into the Jacobs Science Building.
Image 6: Jacobs Science Building is the pink X. Do NOT attempt to park in the garage marked with an X. It is not a paid lot and you will be towed. Limited (and expensive) parking is available in the lot circled in orange.
