Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) help students connect what they learn in class to real life. Supported by the Kentucky Department of Education, CTSOs are an important part of Career and Technical Education (CTE) because they give students hands-on experiences, leadership opportunities, and a chance to explore future careers while still in high school.
At Henry Clay High School, CTSOs help students build confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and career-ready habits. Students can take part in competitions, leadership conferences, service projects, and career-focused activities that prepare them for college, careers, and life after graduation. These experiences help students see how classroom learning connects to real jobs and real-world skills.
Henry Clay proudly offers several CTSOs so students can choose what best fits their interests and goals:
HOSA – Future Health Professionals for students interested in health and medical careers
DECA Inc. for students exploring business, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship
Technology Student Association (TSA) for students interested in engineering, computer science, and technology
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for students focused on family, community leadership, and life skills
Educators Rising for students considering careers in teaching and education
CTSOs at Henry Clay High School give students a place to belong, lead, and grow. They help students discover their interests, develop leadership skills, and prepare for a successful future—whether that future includes college, career training, or entering the workforce.
