College Application Week

On behalf of the Frederick Douglass High School and Carter G. Woodson Academy communities, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of the students, families, and staff who contributed to the success of our recent College Application Week.

We were thrilled to offer a variety of events and resources to support our students as they navigate the college application process. From application help sessions to the KHEAA College Info Road Show to the FCPS College and Career Fair, there was something for everyone.

We were particularly excited to host the Going Merry Financial Aid 101 Presentation and culminating Speed Networking: College Edition event. These events provided students with valuable information and connections to help them make informed decisions about their college and career futures.

We are so grateful to all of the partners who helped to make College Application Week a success, including KHEAA, Going Merry, the FCPS College and Career Center, and the many college and university representatives who participated in our events.

But most of all, we are grateful to our students, families, and staff for their dedication and hard work. We know that applying to college can be a daunting process, but our community came together to support each other and make sure that all of our students are well on their way to achieving their college and career goals.

Thank you again for a successful College Application Week!
