SLP Student Site - Scrub Information

A message from our Operations Manager Shaneka Mosley in regards to scrubs:

My name is Shaneka Mosley, Operations Manager here at CHS. You will see my name via email over the summer and also when you all arrive on campus. We are so excited you chose Faulkner to continue your career journey!!!! Attached below is your scrub brochure and scrub order form. As SLP students you will select SLP for your scrubs next to "Groups" on the order form! This will ensure you get the correcrt SLP patch on your scrubs. Once you all have completed your form you will send it back to me at smosley@faulkner.edu. Payment options are below:

1. After submitting your order you can wait a few days and call Uniformacy to pay for your scrubs. (Preferred Option)

2. Or you can wait to pay for your scrubs on Wednesday Sept. 4.

ONLINE STUDENTS: If you are an online SLP incoming student, please complete your scrub form and send it back to me.When you call Uniformacy to pay for your scrubs, tell them you're an online SLP student and you will need your items shipped to your home address. Uniformacy does charge a shipping fee, but if you're ever in town you can stop by to pay and pick up your items also. If you have any questions please let me know.

Your scrubs will be delivered on campus Wednesday, Sept. 4. But if you're in town before then you can stop by Uniformacy to retrieve your scrubs.

Additional information sent by Ms. Mosley on July 10th:

After speaking with Rob (owner of Uniformacy) he refreshed my memory on a few things.

-You all can send the completed attached order form directly to me.

-You all can pay on Sept. 4 of delivery via cash, check or card. (But you are strongly encouraged to pay before then, by calling Uniformacy directly).

-All scrubs will be delivered on Sept. 4 by Uniformacy. (Even if you paid ahead of time)

-You can feel free to go to Uniformacy and try on the required options before you order.

-Online SLP students your scrubs will be mailed to you after you call and pay.

What to keep in mind when ordering?

Residential

On-ground SLP students are required to wear the Faulkner SLP scrubs during their on-site clinical rotations the first three semesters in the program. Students typically have clinic two days a week, but things such as hearing screenings, additional clinic work, etc. might result in more days. Students are also allowed to wear scrubs to class and during the week outside of clinic. You also can only wear the scrub jacket on the order form or other approved Faulkner outerwear items (a fleece zip up, a cardigan, and a quarter zip pullover will be available for purchase soon) if cold in the clinic when seeing patients. Plan to purchase accordingly.

On-ground SLP students are required to wear their Faulkner SLP scrubs at their internship site in the second year, unless their internship site has other requirements that they allow. This is a case by case basis and varies from site to site.

Online

Online SLP students are required to wear their Faulkner SLP scrubs at both part-time and full-time internships during semesters 2-5, unless their internship site has other requirements that they allow. This is a case by case basis and varies from site to site

Online SLP students are also required to wear Faulkner SLP scrubs during immersion week when doing planned activities in the clinic, so you will need to plan accordingly. Students are also allowed to wear their scrubs during any other scheduled activities during immersion week, but this is not required.
