Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall baseball team (19-14, 5-6 CC) gets set for Washington College (18-14, 4-7 CC) and Dickinson (13-15, 4-7 CC) this week with three home games at Caplan Field. The Diplomats host the Shoremen on Tuesday, before hitting the road to complete the series on Friday. F&M then returns home on Saturday to host a doubleheader against the Red Devils, starting at noon.

Last Time vs. Washington College

Franklin & Marshall recorded 10 extra-base hits, including three home runs to defeat Washington College, 24-9, in seven innings during last year's series finale with the Shoremen. Michael von Zuben tallied five hits, while AJ Desautels registered four hits in the win. Drew Butera '24 recorded a game-high six RBI, while von Zuben brought home five RBI in the victory. Dan Galef earned the win on the mound, tossing three strikeouts in six innings pitched. Read the full recap here. 

Last Time vs. Dickinson

The Diplomats swept the Red Devils in their home-and-home series with a 9-3 win in game one and 8-5 victory in game two last season. In F&M's game two win at Clipper Magazine Stadium (now Penn Medicine Park), the Diplomats used a four-run sixth inning that began with a pinch-hit home run by Nolan McCloskey that gave F&M the lead. Dickinson cut the deficit to three, but Thomas McLaughlin '24 denied the Red Devils' comeback efforts to earn his conference-leading sixth save of the year. Spencer Berson '24 led the contest with three hits, while Butera and Bobby Falese registered two each. Read the full recap here.
