The Diplomats play their final non-conference game of the 2025 regular season against Albright (8-9) at Penn Medicine Park on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. F&M then heads over to Caplan Field on Saturday to start its CC schedule and host No. 4 Johns Hopkins (16-2) for a doubleheader, starting at noon.
Last Week
The Diplomats went a perfect 5-0 since returning from their Spring Break trip to California with wins over Lebanon Valley, Cairn, Rutgers-Newark and Moravian. Bobby Falese recorded 11 hits with eight RBI, two doubles, one triple and a home run during the stretch. Falese now just needs two hits to reach 200 hits for his career. Tanner Wolpert also had a solid week with eight hits, two doubles and one home run. Wolpert registered 10 RBI during the week with five RBI in the win over Moravian. On the mound, Colin Mackenzie highlighted the week by striking out five and allowing five hits and no earned runs in 7.0 innings of relief to be named Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Last Time vs. Albright
The Diplomats exploded for 18 hits to score 18 runs in the 18-4 victory at Albright last season. Falese tied the program single-game record for seven RBI in the contest. Falese also tallied two doubles and one home run to lead F&M to its sixth win of the season. Mateo Sucre earned his first-collegiate win with two strikeouts and no earned runs in two innings of relief. Read the full recap here.
Last Time vs. Johns Hopkins
The Diplomats split its doubleheader with then-ranked No. 8 Johns Hopkins in last year's regular season finale. The Blue Jays outlasted F&M, 17-16, in game one before the Diplomats earned a 6-3 game two victory to lock up the No. 4 seed in the CC Tournament. In a high-scoring game one, Falese broke the program's single-game home run record with three, while also tying the single-game RBI record of seven, which he set earlier in the season. Even with the loss, a Swarthmore loss at Dickinson allowed F&M to clinch a playoff spot. In game two, the Diplomats score two runs in both the second and fourth innings to jump ahead on the scoreboard. Meanwhile, the F&M bullpen limited JHU to just three hits to secure a home playoff game for the Diplomats. Read the full recap here.
