Game Notes

  • F&M has two CC matchups on slate this week - Gettysburg on Tuesday and McDaniel on Saturday. The Diplomats split their last doubleheader against the Bullets in 2019 and swept McDaniel's twin bill last season.

  • Last week, first-year pitcher Charlotte Dwyer struck out 13 batters against Penn-State Harrisburg, the most since Meredith Morgan in 2009. Dwyer's performance last week boosted her total strikeouts count to third overall in the Centennial Conference (CC) (46). Peightyn Schwartz is close behind in fifth (37). Dwyer currently stands first for season-record in F&M history in most strikeouts/seven innings at 9.38. Her performance has surged the Diplomats' 2022 squad to second all-time in most strikeouts/7 inning game at 6.09, only behind the 2020 squad (6.16).

  • First-year Alexa Klepper has notched her name in the record books has posted the most sacrifice flies in a season in F&M history with seven - with time left to add even more. She passed Lauren Incorvaia who previously held the feat with five during the 2007 season. Klepper's efforts has lifted F&M as a team in a season-record tie to the 2013 season in total sacrifice flies with 11.

  • Klepper is also in striking distance posting a season-record of RBI's in a season. She currently has 25, only nine short of the all-time record of 34 set by Incorvaia during the 2009 campaign.

  • Jamie Belfer and Klepper sit in the top five in the CC for batting average - Belfer ranks 2nd (.487), while Klepper sits 5th (.453). For season stats, Belfer currently sits third all time in batting average with .487 and Klepper seventh at .453. The duo are also 1-2 in total hits (Belfer 38, Klepper 29).

  • Belfer is currently atop the CC in total runs by a wide margin with 31, ten more than second place Julia Eckels from Ursinus. She is also on the cusp of scoring the most runs in one season in F&M history as she is currently tied for seventh with 31, seven behind Danielle Murphy (2011) and Melissa Young (1996).

  • During last week's game two 5-1 victory against Penn-State Harrisburg, Belfer stole her 34th career base. Her efforts elevated her in the top ten of F&M all-time career stolen bases as she is now tied for 10th.

  • Devon Witt smacked her first career homer last week versus Swarthmore. The junior will look to build her momentum into this week.
