On April 11, 1989, F&M swept Juniata in both games, securing the win the first game 9-4 and the snagging the second win 2-0.
Game Notes
The Diplomats are fresh off a 3-1 overall showing in their opening weekend at Virginia as F&M are currently rolling on a 3-game winning streak. After dropping the first game, the remaining three games saw the Diplomats post a combined 37 runs.
F&M's individual stats from the previous weekend included a Hanna Maier grand slam rip during F&M's game one 14-6 victory over Mary Baldwin.
Also notable were Jamie Belfer and Abi Buell's swinging as Belfer went a combined 8-10 from the plate in the Mary Baldwin series and Buell converted on four hits on five batting appearances in the second Mary Baldwin game, including 5 RBI's.
Additionally, the trio of Belfer, Alexa Klepper, and Kat Gunther rallied up two doubles apiece in the game two 9-3 triumph over Southern Virginia.
Historically, F&M has not met with Juniata since April 11, 1989 as F&M took the 9-4 victory that day. Overall, the Diplomats hold the 11-2 series record over the Eagles.
On the other hand, F&M's Sunday matchup of Gallaudet only met once all-time in 2016 for a doubleheader sweep, including a 7-0 shutout in the second game.
