Having good communication skills with both students and parents is key to a having a smooth-running classroom.

Parent's want to be involved in their student's education, so it is necessary for us to keep them in the loop in regard to their student(s) academics.

To do that, parents and I need to know what the preferred method for communication is. The following are my preferences

  • Email: Preferred method - Parents will be able to email me their questions or concerns. I will have guidelines in place for this method, such as, having a 24-hour grace period for responses.

  • Phone: If needed, I can contact students parents via phone. This could be used if email is not effective

  • Unit News Letter: Explains what the current unit is about. Parents should know what their students are studying in class
