Students will explore the concept of three dimensional artworks and gain a more clear understanding of the broad range of sculptural materials, techniques and effects. We will explore the main process of sculpture including reductive, modeling, additive and assemblage methods of construction. Plaster, wire, foam and found objects are some of the materials to be used. Students will learn to create, critique, evaluate and appreciate historical and contemporary sculptural works of art.
