Hazard Literacy for a Resilient and Just Future:
Bridging Education, Policy, and Practice
The International Conference on Hazard Literacy 2025 is a global forum dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of hazard literacy as a foundation for building resilient, just, and informed societies. As the world faces mounting risks from climate change, pandemics, technological failures, and natural disasters, the need for cross-sector collaboration and education-driven solutions has never been more urgent.
Hosted by Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea, this conference brings together educators, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and students to explore how hazard literacy can empower individuals and communities to navigate uncertainty, act ethically, and build sustainable futures. Through interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange, we aim to bridge the gap between education, policy, and practice—and foster a new generation of globally competent and socially responsible citizens.
Participants will engage in keynote lectures, paper sessions, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops that explore hazard literacy across diverse cultural, disciplinary, and geographical contexts.
Join us in reimagining the role of education in confronting 21st-century hazards and driving equitable change.
