Develop practices and procedures to ensure that students, staff and community members’ health and safety is a top priority.
Develop parameters to address the expectations for social distancing, workplace cleanliness and on-going communication to students, staff and the community to ensure sound hygiene practices are being implemented.
To assist with that planning process, the Personnel, Safety and Health Subcommittee has focused on developing the following guidelines and considerations that are intended to help school leaders plan and prepare to resume in-person instruction.
EWCSD is following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The development of strategies to help provide a healthy and safe school environment for all students, including those with underlying health conditions, involve school nurses, other health professionals, and school and District administrators. Our health team is awaiting guidance from the Los Angeles County of Public Health to be released to finalize specific Covid-19 related protocols to support students with underlying health conditions. Our School Nurses are tasked with creating individualized health care plans for students whose medical conditions warrant support at school.
