We are starting a couple of new units this month, but also continuing some ideas with a different program in others. 

5th Graders are continuing to learn coding, but with a program called Scratch. They are starting a project this week and will present their programs in the weeks ahead.

4th Graders are also working in Scratch to learn to use the program and begin getting their creative juices flowing! 

In 3rd Grade, students are learning about how Technology has changed over the years. They are exploring how technology has evolved to fit our needs as we evolve as a society. 

2nd Graders are learning about the importance of keeping our environment healthy from all the E-Waste we produce when we throw out broken technology. They will learn about the Evesham Municiple Complex and what happens when we recycle old electronics. 

1st Grade is using a device called the Makey Makey. They are using various items like play-dough and aluminum balls to mimic their keyboards and create ways to show how a circuit needs to be closed in order to work. 

Kinders are identifying what is found in Nature and what is considered Technology. Technology must have 2 criteria; It must be made by humans, and it must make our lives easier or better. They are also learning that technology does NOT have be electronic. There are lots of technology items that do not need to be be plugged in!
