Bilingual Minds, Powerful Futures.
The Multilingual Education Department at Evergreen Public Schools supports Dual Language and English Language Development services to help all Multilingual Learners—including American Indian and Alaska Native students—thrive. We know students succeed when their linguistic and cultural identities are valued and supported.
Dual Language Programs are our priority, promoting bilingualism, biliteracy, high academic achievement, and sociocultural competence. Students strengthen English and Spanish skills, build global awareness, and many earn the Washington State Seal of Biliteracy, recognizing bilingualism as a lifelong asset.
English Language Development services are inclusive and collaborative. Core and language teachers integrate language and content learning, focusing on literacy, academic language, social interaction, and targeted support when needed.
For American Indian and Alaska Native students, we provide services that support academic growth while honoring cultural identity, language, and traditions.
These programs reflect Evergreen’s commitment to equity, excellence, and preparing our scholars to succeed academically and beyond.
