Student Advisory Council and
Students Advocating for Equity
Each person in the Evergreen Public Schools community is a welcomed, included, and empowered member of our school district, and we work together towards student success.
The Student Advisory Council (SAC) and Student Advocacy for Equity (SAFE) are crucial student groups that support us as we embark on the journey towards realizing the Evergreen Public Schools' mission of fostering a community where every individual feels welcomed, included, and empowered. These groups amplify student voices, ensuring students are seen, heard, and valued. SAC provides a platform for students to engage in leadership and present peer-informed perspectives to district leadership, aligning with our goal of student success through advocacy. S.A.F.E creates spaces for equity-driven conversations and leadership opportunities, empowering students from all backgrounds to advocate for themselves and others.
Together, SAC and S.A.F.E work to reflect our vision for student success—where each student thrives academically, feels a deep sense of belonging and sees themselves and others represented in their learning experiences. These groups are crucial in shaping a district where students are equipped to lead, collaborate, and transform their communities.

Activities foster an inclusive educational environment that ensures equal opportunities for all students and promotes a sense of belonging.
Advisories prioritize a safe and welcoming atmosphere where students can express their opinions and be vulnerable about issues they care about.
Campaigns and events raise awareness and educate students on the importance of diverse perspectives and how their voices can be effectively heard within the school community.
How to participate: SAFE members can join meetings anytime each month.
