Hi, I’m Ms Corbin! This is my 13th year as a Counselor at Cascade. Prior to becoming a School Counselor, I was a secondary Math Teacher and Environmental Educator. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University. “Where is that?” you ask. Susquehanna University is a small university along the Susquehanna River in central Pennsylvania. I double majored in Mathematics and Music. I also minored in Religious Studies. I moved to Portland and have been there ever since. In my spare time I love spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, eating out, playing or snuggling with my kitty and attending Irish music sessions.

Hi, I'm Mrs. Carl! I have grown up in the PNW my whole life and am a product of the Evergreen School District myself. I majored in Psychology at Washington State University Vancouver and received my graduate degree in School Counseling from Lewis & Clark College. I love my job, I am so thankful that I get to create meaningful relationships and help kids through the challenging time that is middle school. :) In addition to counseling, I coach Cascade's cheer team. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being around animals, and being outside. Go Cougs!

Hi, I'm Ms. Kayla. I have been a school counselor for about six years, mostly in Oakland, California before moving to the PNW two years ago. I am fortunate enough to have earned my bachelor's degree in a forested beach town at UC Santa Cruz, eventually moving on to a more urban setting for my graduate degree at the University of San Francisco. I live in Portland with my husband, dog, and three cats. My favorite hobbies include going out to eat, reading high-fantasy, and traveling. I have mostly explored South-East Asia, as I lived in Indonesia for a year in my twenties. Some of my favorite foods are Indian, sushi, and pizza. My most rewatched movies include Palm Springs, Little Miss Sunshine, and Juno. My favorite aspect of School Counseling is building positive relationships with students and witnessing them grow and evolve over time.
