Ashley Tarquin

Teacher Induction Coordinator

Ashley has been and educator for 22 years in the Encinitas Union School District. Ashley has worked with students and teachers throughout the district in all grade levels K-6. She is an Apple Distinguished Educator and Instructional Coach and has worked as a support provider for beginning teachers in the past as well as led staff development district wide. She is currently working as the NCC TRI Coordinator 50% and District TOSA 50%. Ashley is dedicated to making in impact in education for both teachers and students.

She was instrumental in developing and continues to support teachers with 1:1 iPad learning environments and instruction providing professional development with digital curriculum, G Suite, blogging, podcasting, video editing and production, inquiry based learning, pedagogical content knowledge, best practices and more. In addition to her work in EUSD, she works with districts throughout California. Ashley has served as the Digital Media Academy emcee and trainer for Cambrian and now Orcutt Unified School District for 9 years. She served as the International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator at Ocean Knoll Elementary through the authorization process and assisted teachers with the creation of cross disciplinary units of inquiry.

Ashley enjoys and is skillful in providing professional development and structure for teachers. Her recent work has been in developing and curating resources for Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) segments and supporting teachers with math instruction. She is interested in inspiring teachers and empowering students to be driven learners solving real world problems.
