On Virtual Learning Days, click the button to attend Math Class or Advisory at the regularly scheduled times!
The purpose of Lesson Assignments are for students to practice and get immediate feedback on what we learned during our whole group lesson in math class that day. At the end of each unit students will take a test which have similar questions to the assignments and address the unit standards. Here are more details about lesson assignments.
To find and complete lesson assignments...
Login to ALEKS through Clever
Click the blue C on your Chromebook or the ALEKS link above
Click the Red McGraw Hill App
Click ALEKS Math
Click the three lines in the top left corner
Click "Assignments"
Next to the Assignment name, it will show that you have either not completed the assignment or your score.
You should complete assignments to an 80% or higher to reach proficiency.
You may revise/retake any assignments on ALEKS Math.
If you are stuck or unable to revise, please ask for help!
If you have not completed or want to revise the assignment, click the assignment name. If you want to view your report to see what you did wrong, click the percentage.
Students are assigned a lesson assignment after each whole group lesson, usually every Monday and Thursday.
All assignments are listed on the ÉMS Assignment Calendar as assigned. Please check this if you are unsure if you had an assignment.
If you do not complete in class, you need to complete that night for home learning.
The purpose of Weekly ALEKS Goals are for students to continue progressing their math understanding by learning skills that are at their level. Here are more details about Weekly ALEKS Goals.
Students have 30 minutes three times a week in class to learn skills on ALEKS Math
Each week, students should "learn" a set number of topics on ALEKS to reach their skill goal.
It is recommended that students spend 30 minutes at home twice a week on ALEKS Math in order to reach their skill goal.
