[2 min] DO NEXT: Head back to your seat. On your way, make sure you have your chromebook as well as binder and pencil or whiteboard and a marker. You should be logged in and working quietly on ALEKS at the end of the two minute timer!
[30 min] INDEPENDENT PRACTICE: Login to ALEKS Math through Clever (puzzle piece - blue c - red McGraw Hill App - ALEKS Math). Use the drop down menu to look at what skills you want to learn today. Here is a short video explaining how to choose skills! Use the rest of the time to learn skills on ALEKS Math!
Expectations: In order to ensure each student can use this time to learn skills to the best of their ability, please remember...
It should be silent throughout the period, unless you are asking a question or getting help from a teacher/peer.
Remember to take notes on the following…
Date & Topic; Key Concepts: Any new words and their definitions/examples (blue words you can click on); Example: Step by Step Process; Take Aways: Comments that help you remember what you did, mistakes you made and how you fixed them, etc.
You may use a whiteboard for practice problems but must put notes in your binder for each new skill!
You may listen to music with headphones on a streaming site. Please set your music and leave it while you learn skills!
If you have a question, raise your hand! If you see I am already helping someone else, write your name in the parking lot.
[2 min] WRAP UP: Check how many skills you learned today using your timeline. If you are unsure how, please watch this short video.
[3 min] TICKET OUT Get out your ALEKS tracker

Pack up and wait to be dismissed!
I will dismiss clean, quiet tables! Please turn in your skill tracker to me as you leave so I know how many skills you learned!
