During Summer Honors 2025, the office interns (Sophia Birkestrand, Harper Fennel, Ayden Konzelman, Hayden Steinke and Lainey Wohlgemuth) decided that there needed to be a new tradition to celebrate the work that past SHP Director 'Captain' Janelle Jack had done for the program. This is where _______ Parrot was born. The Parrot represents the genuineness that Janelle brought to the program and the students. Not only did she fight for the program and the students she also took care to get to know the students and understand them and what each one stood for. The first keeper of ______ Parrot is Frank Kovacs of Minden, he will decide that name. The parrot will be handed down to the student that shows leadership, stays true to the program and is genuine.
