Technology in the classroom can get you places faster than ever before. However, you still need to know where to go out there. As we shift from "memorizing information" to "knowing how to find information", media resources become important for your classroom.
Both Sides of the Issue - FREE access to videos that show both sides of the argument on current, hot topics. You will need to register for access to videos, video modules, Kahoots, online quizzes, and teacher guides. Both Sides of the Issue is a component of Stossel in the Classroom (see below).
Bozeman Science Videos - Hundreds of science videos for Bio, Chem, Physics, and Earth Science created by educator Paul Anderson (MT Teacher of the Year & YouTube Edu Gurus). He has also created a series of videos on the Next Generation Science Standards.

Switch Classroom - Switch Classroom has energy lessons on nearly every energy topic. Find the topic you’re looking for by searching within the Lesson or Videos pages in the Library. Each lesson contains a 2-4 minute video and a selection of optional activities. Videos are standalone resources that are not packaged with activities.

TeacherTube: This YouTube for teachers is an amazing resource for finding educationally focused videos to share with your classroom. You can find videos uploaded by other teachers or share your own.
TED-Ed: From a site that’s long been known for big ideas, you’ll find TED-Ed, videos specifically designed to act as highly engaging and fun lessons.
Videolectures.net: With Videolectures.net, you’ll get access to browseable lectures designed for the exchange of ideas and knowledge, offering videos in architecture, business, technology, and many more categories.
YouTube EDU: A YouTube channel just for education, you can find primary and secondary education, university-level videos, and even lifelong learning.
Zane Education: Zane Education offers resources for visual learning, including the very popular on-demand subtitled videos.Backpack TV: In this educational video library, you’ll find a special interest in math, science, and other academic subjects.
Unless you and/or your students have changed the usage rights on Google Images, most likely the images being used are copyrighted. What does this mean? It means you should not be using them because the owner of the pics has not given their permission. Is it a big deal? Yes, especially if your student's projects get online where copyright companies scour the net looking for illegal use that could result in a hefty fine ($$$).

Pics4Learning : This site offers a safe, free image library for education. Teachers and students can use copyright-friendly photos and images for classrooms, multimedia projects, websites, videos, portfolios or any other project in an educational setting. It’s easy to use, and all of the copyright information is available in a simplistic bibliography underneath any chosen photo.
flickrCC: This is a good place to start when looking for Creative Commons images. The panel on the left displays a collage of the first 36 photos matching your search term. Click on any of these thumbnails to get a slightly larger image and the attribution details displayed on the right. Right-click the image and choose a size. Most photos have small, medium, and large sizes. Next, hit “save image as” and save it in a folder. Above the photo, you’ll find attribution text that must be included with any work you produce using the picture.
Photos for Class: This is similar to Pics4Learning. You simply run a search, click on a thumbnail, and the photo downloads with the copyright information as a caption on the photo.

Cornell Lab Bird Cam - a virtual window into the world of birds.
My Live Streams has a large selection of real-time streaming video webcams operating around the globe. Here are just a few of the cams they have listed on this site: Barred Owls, Baltimore's National Aquarium, Acropolis of Athens, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Rainforests, bald eagles, and lots more.
Podcasts are a great form of audio content for lessons. All of the sites listed below are free to use. Some of the sites provide lesson plans that go along with each of the podcasts.

YouTube is great and for many, it is the go-to video site for great video content. However, sometimes the comments below the videos or the suggested videos that appear on the right can be inappropriate for school. Use these tools and tips to share videos safely with your students:
