Description: Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0) Evaluator Training will prepare an evaluator of teachers, as defined by the role you serve in a Local Educational Agency (LEA), for effective, high-quality, and consistent staff evaluation using the OTES 2.0 Model. To become a credentialed evaluator of teachers in the State of Ohio, an individual must be properly licensed or LEA-approved as a peer evaluator, participate in the three-day state-sponsored evaluator training, and pass an online credentialing assessment.
Upon successful completion of the training (attendance for all three days of the training is REQUIRED), participants will have access to the online assessment. The three-day state-sponsored OTES 2.0 training will provide a better understanding of the OTES 2.0 Framework and Model, allow practice of skills such as scripting, evidence analysis/categorizing, and coaching, and allow for sharing of resources and best practices in educator evaluation.
This course is for all new OTES 2.0 evaluators. Those who have previously held an OTES 2.0 credential that is expired/expiring only need to retake the credentialing assessment.

Description: This four-part professional learning series is designed to support teachers in their first three years in the classroom as they build confidence, refine their practice, and establish strong instructional foundations. Each session will focus on a critical component of effective teaching: lesson planning, classroom management, communication, and assessment.
Participants will engage in practical, relevant learning experiences that can be immediately applied in the classroom. The series is structured to foster collaboration and connection, creating a supportive community of practice where new teachers can learn alongside peers. Mentors are welcome to attend and participate, though their attendance is not required.
Each session will also include an optional extended afternoon work time, providing participants the opportunity to collaborate with mentors or colleagues to plan lessons, develop assessments, analyze student data, and design differentiated instructional strategies tailored to their students’ needs.
Throughout the series, participants will receive ongoing support and guidance from the facilitator, helping them navigate the challenges of the early years of teaching while building sustainable, effective practices.
