Description: Explore the impact of intentional instructional partnerships in this interactive 60-minute professional learning session focused on effective co-teaching practices and collaborative lesson design. Participants will engage in modeled co-teaching experiences while examining the structures, communication strategies, and planning processes that support successful implementation across classrooms.
Designed for educators at varying levels of experience, this session offers two differentiated learning pathways:
Foundations Track:
Ideal for educators new to co-teaching frameworks, this track focuses on developing a strong understanding of the six co-teaching models. Participants will analyze classroom scenarios, discuss instructional applications, and explore strategies for moving beyond the “One Teach, One Assist” model toward more balanced and collaborative instructional approaches.
Advanced Practice Lab:
Designed for experienced co-teaching teams, this pathway emphasizes responsive instructional decision-making and strategic lesson design. Participants will examine how student data, scheduling realities, and instructional goals influence the selection and adaptation of co-teaching models. Educators are encouraged to bring classroom schedules, lesson plans, or student data to apply learning directly to authentic instructional contexts.
AI-Enhanced Planning and Differentiation:
Both pathways will culminate in an exploration of AI-supported planning strategies. Participants will learn how AI tools can streamline collaborative planning, support differentiation, and generate instructional materials aligned to Station Teaching, Parallel Teaching, and Alternative Teaching models.
Participants will leave with practical tools, adaptable planning strategies, and ready-to-use resources that support effective co-teaching implementation and meaningful student learning outcomes.
