Participants will discuss collaboratively developed guidelines for responsible and ethical AI use in education, focusing on both educators and students. This session will explore appropriate and prohibited AI applications, address key issues like academic integrity and privacy, and provide strategies for co-creating generative AI norms with students. Attendees will begin drafting actionable guidance aligned with district values and goals.

Target Audience: Grades 5-9 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Teachers
Designed for any grades 5–9 science, technology, engineering, or math teacher, this session showcases LearningBlade’s career-connected, standard-aligned lessons that bring real-world relevance to classroom content. Focus will be placed on the Intro to Artificial Intelligence module and how it can spark student curiosity about AI-driven careers. Educators will also explore how local industry perspectives can help connect their teaching to regional career opportunities. Teachers will leave with practical ideas for integrating these resources into their classrooms to reinforce both academic learning and workforce readiness.
