In this session, participants will learn how to leverage Ohio State Test (OST) data through the Centralized Reporting System (CRS) to design targeted, high-impact assessments. Educators will explore how to access and interpret CRS reports to identify trends, strengths, and areas for growth at the classroom, grade, and school levels. Using data-driven insights, attendees will apply strategic question selection techniques and build customized assessments aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards through the Assessment Authoring platform.
Participants will also learn how artificial intelligence (AI) tools can assist in analyzing item-level data, helping to uncover patterns and prioritize standards for instructional focus more efficiently. This innovative approach will empower attendees to refine assessments and instructional planning with greater confidence.
This session includes hands-on sandbox time, where participants will analyze their own district or building-level data, practice AI-supported data analysis techniques, create tailored assessments, and develop actionable next steps to support student growth.
Note:
If you are new to the Assessment Authoring platform, it is strongly recommended that you attend the AM Assessment Authoring session on the same day to gain a foundational understanding of the system before participating in this advanced, data-driven design session.
