Target Audience: COHORT 3 LEADERS
Schools and districts in Cohort 3 will be responsible for developing a new three-year One Plan during the 2025–2026 school year. State Support Team 2 is here to guide teams through the updated EDSTEPS platform and planning process.
We invite all personnel involved in developing school or district One Plans to attend a series of training and networking sessions focused on strategic planning, root cause analysis, effective use of the EDSTEPS platform, and progress monitoring. Individualized technical assistance and coaching will also be available throughout the year.
Session Topics Include:
Understanding the EDSTEPS process and identifying priorities
Addressing One Needs Assessment questions
Root cause analysis and evidence-based strategies
Leveraging AI tools to support data analysis and planning
Navigating EDSTEPS and progress monitoring
Dedicated work time with on-site support
Whether leading the process or supporting it, these sessions will equip participants with tools, guidance, and collaboration opportunities to develop a strong and strategic One Plan.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Participants will be able to navigate the EDSTEPS system to create a One Needs Assessment and One Plan.
2. Participants will identify and analyze data to identify priority needs within the One Needs Assessment.
3. Participants will become proficient in creating a valid root cause.
4. Participants will successfully create a One Plan including SMART goals, evidence-based strategies, and action steps.

The network meetings will convene quarterly to discuss Ohio Department of Education and Workforce literacy initiatives and the NEW, forthcoming Integrated Multi-Tiered System of Supports (I-MTSS) framework.
The first meeting will be held in person at the ESC of Lorain County to kick off our year with breakfast and the distribution of books. The remaining sessions will be virtual.

Join us for a virtual learning session focused on the Early Warning System (EWS) and Progress Towards Graduation (PTG) modules in ODDEX. Participants will learn how to navigate these tools to access key student data, identify early warning signs, and monitor progress toward graduation. The session will highlight how to interpret this information and use it to guide proactive, data-informed interventions for students who may be at risk.
Designed for educators who support student success through data, this session will strengthen your understanding of how accurate EMIS reporting can be leveraged to improve outcomes.

Understand how to navigate and interpret data within the ODDEX Early Warning System (EWS) and Progress Towards Graduation (PTG) modules.
Identify key risk indicators and student data trends that signal the need for intervention and support.
