#OTES 2.0The Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0) Evaluator Training prepares individuals serving in a Local Educational Agency (LEA) to conduct effective and consistent teacher evaluations using the OTES 2.0 Model. To become credentialed in Ohio, participants must be properly licensed, attend all three days of state-sponsored training, and pass an online assessment. The training covers the OTES 2.0 Framework, skill development (e.g., scripting, evidence analysis, coaching), and sharing of best practices.

#OPES 2.0This two-day training is for superintendents and administrators who will be evaluating principals using the OPES 2.0 system. This training will lead to the credentialing assessment that is required to evaluate principals. Engage in collaborative activities using sample evidence. Learn how to provide actionable, constructive feedback that fosters professional growth.

This workgroup is intended for any administrators in years 1-5 of the principalship role or could be for any administrator that would like to sharpen their leadership skills. During these sessions, focus will be placed on Instructional Leadership, growing teachers through meaningful coaching and feedback, and using data to drive decisions. Each session will also have time built in to collaborate wtih colleagues, discuss challenges and learn from one another's experiences.

Principal Roundtables - Instead of the Principal Chat format used in previous years, this year the Department is collaborating with Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) and Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) to provide virtual sessions to support principals, assistant principals, and administrators. These sessions will promote the Department’s four priority areas: Literacy, Accelerating Learning, Workforce Readiness, and Student Wellness. Previous webinars and PowerPoint presentations are available at the link above.
