District attendance teams will have three opportunities during the school year to come together virtually to learn about updates to Chronic Absenteeism, collaborate with peers and share practices.

This session will provide a review of the Roster Verification process, State Guidelines, and address Frequently Asked Questions. Participants will navigate the Roster Verification interface and have the opportunity to make adjustments to their account in preparation for Teacher Roster Verification. Please bring a staff roster including district emails and staff teaching license numbers, a master schedule of classes each teacher taught this year, a school district calendar with any calamity days crossed off, and an electronic device.

#OTES 2.0The Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0) Evaluator Training prepares individuals serving in a Local Educational Agency (LEA) to conduct effective and consistent teacher evaluations using the OTES 2.0 Model. To become credentialed in Ohio, participants must be properly licensed, attend all three days of state-sponsored training, and pass an online assessment. The training covers the OTES 2.0 Framework, skill development (e.g., scripting, evidence analysis, coaching), and sharing of best practices.

#OPES 2.0This two-day training is for superintendents and administrators who will be evaluating principals using the OPES 2.0 system. This training will lead to the credentialing assessment that is required to evaluate principals. Engage in collaborative activities using sample evidence. Learn how to provide actionable, constructive feedback that fosters professional growth.

Principal Roundtables - Instead of the Principal Chat format used in previous years, this year the Department is collaborating with Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) and Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) to provide virtual sessions to support principals, assistant principals, and administrators. These sessions will promote the Department’s four priority areas: Literacy, Accelerating Learning, Workforce Readiness, and Student Wellness. Previous webinars and PowerPoint presentations are available at the link above.
