This slide deck contains suggestions for communicating with and messaging families, examples of using attendance data to drive decisions and improve outcomes, and ways districts can track Chronic Absenteeism.
During this Attendance Collaborative session, participants were presented with two scenarios, a kindergarten student and a sixteen year old high school student, both with Chronic Absenteeism. The task was for participants to dialogue in groups about how they could support the students. This slide deck also contains examples of how a social worker can contribute, and future plans on how we can support districts with housing attendance, grades, and discipline data for students all in one place.
