Candidates were provided an email with instructions on items to complete prior to orientation:
Set up TEAL account. This needed to report to TEA you are officially with our educator preparation program (EPP).
When setting up TEAL account it is recommended to use a personal email account and not a district account.
Memorize your TEAL ID number. You will need this number throughout your time in our program.
Pre-Orientation Video Information per the Texas Education Agency as candidates onboard our EPP.
Create a CONNECT20 Account.
Attend upcoming testing orientation, on specifics of preparing for TExES content exams.
From formal date accepted, candidates must obtain test approval in 7-months.
Create a digital folder, either on your desktop or in Google.
We recommend candidates to save all electronic documentation to their own personal digital TOPP folder. Within the folder, consider having additional folders within this folder:
Confirmation Emails
Training Certificates
Handouts from training sessions
Consider placing an app on your phone to remind you of your 7-month deadliine.
NOTE ACTION ITEM TO COMPLETE: Within coursework pages (Classroom Foundations & Classroom Topics for Student Success) is a hyperlink for candidates to create their own copy of the schedule.

After opening copy save the document with your name. Example: "Your Name" Classroom Foundations Schedule.
Login to CONNECT20
Register for each session. The hyperlinked number is live and will guide you directly to CONNECT20 to register for the session.
A confirmation email will be sent to which will contain the Zoom link for virtual sessions.
Save the Zoom link into the same row as the name of the session in your copy of the training spreadsheet.
TFA Corps Members only need to register for Ethics 1 and 2 upon admission. TFA Corps Members and will Internship Training Sessions after placed on an intern certificate.
Go to Schedules and locate appropriate Schedule. Read all information and begin registering.
Read instructions on who to upload certificates and documentation.
