Never resign a teaching position without speaking with a TOPP consultant
It is important candidate’s communicate with staff immediately should there by any concerns or struggles during internship.

The Intern will be responsible for all fees through the month in which the resignation is final.
If an intern paid in full at the beginning of the program, the intern will be responsible for the fees through the month in which they resigned, and the balance will be reimbursed to the intern.
The TOPP, campus/district personnel and intern must inform each other within one (1) calendar week of intern’s last day in the assignment.
The TOPP will provide notification to the campus/district personnel and intern that the intern’s teaching certificate will be deactivated as a result of separation from the LEA and EPP.
A written resignation submitted to school administration two (2) weeks prior to the effective date of resignation
An email and/or formal letter to the TOPP coordinator within twenty-four (24) hours of decision to resign and must include:
o Effective date of resignation
o Reason for resignation
