We have much to learn in so little time! In-person attendance is required for all face-to-face sessions (beginning in January each year) to ensure the best preparation possible in the time we have together. View a sample training schedule here.
Upon passing your certification exams, you can enter the classroom as a first year teacher (the internship) within 8 - 14 months depending upon entry date and personal goals. Completion of the program requires 17 - 23 months, including the paid internship.
Region 14's Alternative Certification Program offers a mix of online and face-to-face instruction. Our program delivery is approximately 50% online and 50% face-to-face. In-person attendance is required for all face-to-face sessions.
Face-to-face trainings are delivered by Region 14 Consultants who serve Region 14 School Districts as experts in their fields and receive continuous updates from TEA and other sources.
ACP consultants are only a phone call, email, or text away when interns have questions, concerns, or need support. All inquiries receive responses in 24 hours or less.
