The whole class had a great time at the silent disco. Thanks to everyone who helped to organise it!
It was very fun and I liked it more than any disco. I wish it happened all the time - Aryah
It was very cool that there were flashing lights and the headphones lit up - Ella
I loved the lights on the headphones and I got to see what my friends were listening to - Beth
It was very funny that everybody was singing their favourite songs - Reaya
It was awsome how everybody was dancing around how they wanted to. They were singing a lot and making a lot of noise at the SILENT disco! - Eve
Instructional Writing
We created Lego objects using a maximum of 10 bricks and used these models as the basis for pieces of instructional writing. We knew the instructions made sense if other people were able to follow them correctly.
Maths - Data Handling
We carried out traffic surveys this week for us to use in our data handling work. We then used the data to complete bar graphs showing the colours and types of vehicles that passed the school. Surpisingly, there was only 1 tractor!
The class designed their own warm-up routines as part of their work on fitness. Everyone had the chance to demonstrate them to the class. Struan and Sofia then led the class in a warm-up when we next went out to the MUGA.
I had fun being with my friends - Natalie
I thought it was really fun when we got to watch Sofia and Struan's warm-up and we got to join in - Ruth
I enjoyed leading the warm-up because I liked being the teacher for a few minutes - Sofia
Soar High Learning
The class have made a wonderful start to their first block of Soar High Learning. There are many different pieces of work investigating the Olympic Games varying from swimming costumes designed for speed, creative takes on gymnastic outfits and research into medal winners, rugby 7s and world records set at the Olympics. I can't wait to see what all this hard work looks like when it's finished!
