Welcome to Argyll School,
It is both an honour and a joy to step into the role of principal here at Argyll School. As we embark on this educational journey together, I extend a warm greeting to all students, families, faculty, and community members.
Argyll Centre's inception in the mid-1990s was rooted in a visionary experiment—a question pondered: "What if learning were accessible round the clock, powered by technology?" This spirit of innovation has shaped our evolution into Edmonton Public Schools' Center for Home Education Services, reaching students across Alberta through pioneering 24/7 learning opportunities.
Here at Argyll, we are committed to fostering a safe, nurturing learning environment that celebrates diversity and encourages every student to strive for their utmost potential. Our commitment extends beyond traditional boundaries, embracing online learning, teacher-directed home-based education, parent-guided homeschooling, and the Caraway program to craft a learning space without limits.
At Argyll, we stand united in our pursuit of academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible global citizenship. We believe in empowering our students to explore, discover, and ultimately lead—preparing them for high school and a future defined by their passions and leadership. At Argyll, we foster an open and honest community, encouraging students to take intellectual risks, and fostering deep, meaningful relationships.
As we commence this chapter together, I invite each member of our community to join hands, embrace diversity, and engage in an educational journey where every student can reach for the stars.
With sincere gratitude and anticipation for the remarkable experiences ahead,
Larry Payne, Ph.D.
Principal, Argyll School
