To assign MAP activities to students in KA, you must either create a class specifically for MAP or have students already enrolled in other classes. It is typically easier to create a MAP class so that you do not have to select multiple classes as you assign MAP work to your students.
1. Login to your Khan Academy teacher account.

4. Select the class (you may wish to create a specific class called “MAP Class A” or similar, where all students that require MAP practice would be enrolled).

5. After selecting the class, you will see all students enrolled in the selected class listed, in subsections titled “Enter MAP Test Scores for xyz” where “xyz” is the student’s name.

Enter the MAP Test level that each student took (either Mathematics 2-5 or Mathematics 6+), and then enter the scores that the student obtained on each of the 4 math categories:
- Operations and Algebraic Thinking
- Numbers and Operations
- Measurement and Data
- Geometry
6. Once you have specified the MAP test that the student took, and the scores earned on each math category, you will be able to click on the “Show me the recommendations!” button to see the topics and activities that are automatically assigned to the student.

Please note: Each student should be asked to login to their KA account, and to click on the following link:

…where they may see the individual activities that KA created for them based on the MAP Test Scores specified by the teacher. After a student is done with all the activities, you may wish to update their MAP scores to the next level in each category so that KA creates new, more advanced activities for the student.
Also note that students will only be able to see MAP activities in the link specified above, and not in the KA student dashboard, since this MAP functionality is being tested and has not been formally incorporated into the KA site.
