Math Pathways

Middle School and High School

Students have the option of taking Algebra I and Geometry during middle school, which allows them to take higher-level courses in high school (such as AP Calculus and AP Statistics). While not strictly necessary, this is the recommended path for students that wish to attend a four year college or university after high school, particularly so if they are interested in a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), or are interested in Medicine. Some careers (such as law) also have specific AP requirements.

Make sure to talk to your EPIC teacher and/or EPIC's Graduation Support Manager (GSM) about the specific path that is ideally suited for your child.
