My Yoga Story
Many years ago, I signed up for a yoga class in one of the few yoga studios in the city at that time. I was looking for a place where I could treat myself to quiet time, balanced with physical toning and strengthening. My goal was to slow down the pace of my busy and challenging life. Taking a yoga class sounded perfect but unfortunately, the class didn't work for me.
The teacher presented herself with an attitude of great authority, creating an almost hostile environment. I craved the freedom of movement in the class and a supportive teacher. After that class I didn’t think that I would ever go back and practice yoga again.
The experience undoubtedly influenced my future yoga practice and how I would teach my future classes.
Many years later, a friend of mine invited me to a yoga class that she was attending. I was hesitant and it took me a while to say yes to join the class. Finally, I signed up for it. I will never forget the first class. It was an amazing class taught by an amazing teacher! After just a few minutes I was hooked on yoga and have been practicing yoga since. This new teacher, and now my dear friend, has significantly impacted my life. I am honored and fortunate that I was able to take my yoga teacher training with this wonderful yoga teacher.
I feel privileged that I can share my yoga knowledge and practice with my students. I am grateful to be able to learn from my students and to be part of their yoga journey.

My Philosophy
“Yoga with Jari” offers you a place to start or continue with your wellness journey, regardless of your fitness level or past experiences. My approach to yoga is to create a simple, effective wellness routine where every move has a purpose.
I believe in simplicity in yoga, as a way of creating a sustainable and joyful practice.
I strive to provide a comfortable and safe environment where everyone feels good, accepted and motivated. I encourage students to modify their practice as often as needed. No two people are the same and by modifying your poses during the class, I can help you meet your individual needs.
I want to help people find their peace, strength and balance that can last beyond the class.
